Strengthening exercise for the wrist extensors:

  1. Sit in a chair with the forearm resting on the armrest.
  2. Hold a lightweight (1-2kg) with the palm facing the floor.
  3. Slowly drop your wrist and hand towards the floor, then slowly bring the hand up towards the ceiling.
  4. Hold the position for 5 to 10 seconds.
  5. Repeat the procedure 10 to 15 times. 

Strengthening exercise for the wrist flexors:

  1. Sit in a chair with the forearm resting on the armrest or your thigh.
  2. Hold the weight with the palm facing the ceiling.
  3. Slowly drop your hand towards the floor, then slowly bring it up towards the ceiling.
  4. Hold the position for 5 to 10 seconds.
  5. Repeat the procedure 10 to 15 times. 

Strengthening exercise for the muscles that twist and turn the wrist:

  1. Hold the weight with the thumb pointing to the ceiling.
  2. Slowly turn the wrist inwards as far as possible, then slowly turn the wrist outwards.
  3. You should feel no pain or minimal amount of pain during the exercises mentioned above.
